Trinity Senior Living Communities partners with faith based organizations to create resident-inspired, employee-empowered senior living communities.
Each sponsor has a distinct heritage, mission and vision – a unique story. We honor this one-of-a-kind experience by working side-by-side with each sponsor to discover and develop a person-centered culture that’s all their own.
We help transform ministry organizations to enrich every individual they encounter. In the spirit of collaboration, we help bring their story to life.
At Trinity Senior Living Communities, we’ve discovered our own story:
Sanctuary™ is the person-centered culture change initiative that embodies our journey. It is characterized by small, constant neighborhoods of elders and associates, who live, work and grow together within a long-term care community. The Sanctuary™ concept is grounded in our mission, core values, and the person-centered care philosophy.
Sanctuary™ emphasizes close, consistent relationships between elders and the associates who are permanently assigned to the Sanctuary™ neighborhoods. Within this relationship-rich setting, the safety and security of home develops, filled with the thick trust and sensitivity typically shared by families.
Self-determination is paramount. Each Sanctuary™ neighborhood within a long-term care community is elder-centered, and elder and associate directed. This is where each person – elders and associates – is respected, valued and accepted as a unique individual.
To accommodate personal preferences, opportunities for socialization, as well as opportunities for privacy, are prominent features of Sanctuary™.
The goal of Sanctuary™ is to create an environment that nourishes the body, mind and spirit of all members by honoring the sacredness of every soul through uncompromising standards and services.
Due in large part to its commitment to culture change via the Sanctuary™ model, Trinity Senior Living Communities has achieved very favorable outcomes and steady performance improvement. Some of the key results include:
- Elder satisfaction during the last two years has been in the top 10% of long-term care providers nationwide
- Associate retention is trending upward, with annual turnover dropping to nearly 29%
- Regarding clinical quality measures, almost 65% of our communities are in the top quartile compared to long-term care providers nationwide
- Financial performance during the last three years improved by $5.6 million
Multi-dimensional culture change shaped by the unique character and the rich heritage of a sponsor can produce similar results for other not-for-profit long-term care providers.
Extending mission reach, making a deeper, more meaningful difference in the lives of elders and associates, and significantly improving the performance of operations are among the many benefits that culture change brings when sponsors create a one-of-a-kind experience.
